The Gulf Coast Classic is not a commercial show. This event is hosted by the FFI Gulf Coast Council, a not-for-profit 501(3)c organization. As such, it serves our mission of education, conservation, and community. Any net revenue is dedicated to our education and conservation initiatives.
For this reason, we depend heavily on volunteers. No experience is necessary. All we require is that volunteers be at least 18 years of age, be on time, and be courteous to attendees.
Volunteers will get certain perks such as: free admission to the Classic, on-campus lodging at reduced $50 per night, free Classic t-shirt, free lunch servings Friday and Saturday, and more.
Shifts are: Friday morning, Friday afternoon, Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon. We ask that volunteers work at least 2 shifts.
We need volunteers for the following:
– registration desk
– information table
– seminar/workshop assistance
– assisting casting instructors
– setup prior to event, takedown after event
