The 18th annual Fly Fishing Film Tour (F3T) is back and hitting the road with a top-notch selection of films that are sure to get you fired up for the season ahead. What is F3T? It’s a traveling roadshow of the best fly fishing short films in the world. Through a submission process, films are selected to bring some of the best content to the big screen in your hometown.
The variety of films often range the gamut. Whether it’s tarpon off Costa Rica, giant taiman from Mongolia, redfish in the Louisiana marshes, the beauty and threats to the Everglades or the story of an Alaskan wilderness family enjoying the off-the-grid life, these collections of short films inspire and excite the viewer.
The F3T is more than just the film, our shows aim to create community, inspire, encourage and support conservation efforts worldwide. Each evening is complete with a live emcee, door prizes from our premium sponsors, and more. Come for the action, stay for the camaraderie, all while helping to raise money for the waters we love.
The Gulf Shores F3T will take place after the conclusion of the Gulf Coast Classic on Saturday evening at 4:00 pm. Registration for the Classic is not required to attend the Fly Fishing Film Tour. Door Prizes
Every paid attendee will have a chance to win one of dozens of door prizes from Costa, Orvis, Yeti, Greys, Scientific Anglers and many more sponsors of the Fly Fishing Film Tour.
In addition, the Gulf Coast Council of Fly Fishers International has “sweetened the pot”. For this F3T showing only, there will be a complete fly fishing outfit given away. Not just any outfit, but TFO’s new top-of-the-line Blitz series rod in 9-foot, 8-weight. It will come with a TFO NTO machined fly reel and a Wulff Bermuda Shorts 8-weight fly line. Win the outfit that evening, and you can take it out the next morning to catch redfish, bass, jacks, mackerel, tripletail, whatever! This prize package is worth over $700! All you need to do to win it is buy a ticket to the F3T and be there in person when the drawing is done.
